Hi,
My name is Axelle. I am 45 years old and originally from France.
From a very young age it became quite clear to my family that I was to be the more “fragile one" of the family. Unlike my older sister who spent her childhood dreaming to experience cold and flu symptoms in order to score a day off school, me on another hand, could have started a collection of Dr certificates very early….
Some small issues started creeping in at a young age following the stress of my parents' divorce.
I will always remember at the age of 7 losing a huge chunk of my hair while playing with my girlfriend. How she rightfully pointed out how a section of my hair seemed significantly longer that the rest…. The next minute I was holding all this hair in my hand like a big ponytail, bowling my eyes off. The Doctors put that down to the level of stress I was under at the time. From this day, doing my hair for school every morning became an interesting process, spending much time trying to hide the bald patch on my head.
Funny enough, that bald patch only became bigger a few years later, when at the age of 13, I was diagnosed with a brained tumor. The universe must have thought I had too much attachment to my long and beautiful hair. 2 months later the tumor was successfully removed, and half of my head had been shaved.
In 1998 after a few tough years, I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid, and I ended up having my thyroid removed, leaving me on hormone replacements.
At the age of 40, I started having arthritis in my fingers.
So, I guess I did not have the best start health wise and as I grew older, I always wondered why. I always looked so different to my older sister. While she had a very solid built, and was strong, me on the other hand, always looked skinny, not to say underweight despite eating well. I had small bones, every part of my body looked too long and skinny for me. I ate what most people would consider a very healthy diet; Growing up in the south of France, greens, salads and raw food would be on the table at every meal and I lived a relaxed lifestyle.
As there was never anything obvious to justify my health issues, I blamed fate and karma.
Until one day Ayurveda crossed my path and answered all the questions I ever had about my own health.
Fascinated by the concepts of this 5,000-year-old science of life, I completed a 2-year diploma with Dr S Ajit, Australasian most experienced Ayurvedic Dr.
I now know that there was no “Fate” but instead very clear causes behind most of my health concerns. Mistakes of the intellect associated with wrong knowledge was to blame.
If you planted some lettuce and they did not grow, you wouldn’t blame the lettuce, would you? Before you plant something, you do need to be aware of its requirements to grow strong and healthy. You would check how much sun, water, what kind of food it needs etc. No luck there.
The human body is a microcosm of the universe, that means that everything embodied in the universe is said to be imprinted in our body and can be used to stabilize our health and bring us back into to balance.
I am now 45 years old and healthier than I have ever been. Thyroxine being the only medication I am on, I use Ayurvedic principles and knowledge to keep myself and my entire family balanced and Healthy.
